Wajaf v3 Installation

I. Getting Started

1.1. Requirements

1.1.1. Client side:

WAJAF is compatible with:

Internet Explorer 9, 8 and 7
Firefox last release down to v4
Opera last release down to v9
Safari last release down to v5
Chrome last release down to v1

We do not support IE6 (Make a favor to everybody, please help eradicating this Human Mistake)

The javascript must be up and working on the navigator for WAJAF to work.

1.1.2. Server side

WAJAF works with any webserver since it just dispatch javascript, JSON and xml files.
However you need a language in the server to execute the JSON and applications listeners.

We have all our examples in PHP, but it is easy to make the equivalent in JAVA, ASP or others (this is a very tiny object).

1.2. Download:

We recommend to always download the lastest version of WAJAF from our site
http://www.webability.info/?P=wajaf_download
Never download from other untrusted sources.

Be sure to always have the lastest version, we are releasing a new version approx each 4 days by january 2010 with new libraries.
Visit us frequently !

1.3. Install:

The file you download is a tarball gziped file with the format wajaf.buildxxx.tar.gz where xxx is the build number.

On windows, you can expand it with any decent compressor like zip ( http://www.winzip.com ), rar ( http://www.rarlab.com ) or powerarchiver ( http://www.powerarchiver.com ) and so on.

On Linux, put the wajaf.buildxxx.tar.gz file in the directory you need it and type:
tar zxvf wajaf.buildxxx.tar.gz

On Unix, put the wajaf.buildxxx.tar.gz file in the directory you need it and type:
gunzip wajaf.buildxxx.tar.gz
tar -xf wajaf.buildxxx.tar
Or install gnu tar to use it like linux on your unix.

You should uncompress the wajaf into a web directory ready to use it on your web server.

For example, if your apache is installed on:
/home/apache
your default web directory should be:
/home/apache/htdocs
Uncompress the wajaf in this directory and you should get the main wajaf directory:
/home/apache/htdocs/wajaf

The wajaf is totally included into the wajaf/ directory and ready to use.

1.4. Examples:

All the examples are into the http://yoursite.com/wajaf/examples/ directory, and are ready to use here.
You can also access the working examples on our demo site and try anything here:
